I just ordered mine from ebay. Good prices too. "ooth" or "ootheca" won't usually come up on ebay, but "chinese mantis egg" should give you results.

mantid forum.net is similar to cf only for mantids, great deals in the classifieds can usually be had from private breeders for considerably less than commercial places. i got $350 worth of orchid mantis from a private breeder for $80 shipped. a couple of weeks ago, there was even an add for free chinese ooths (shipping only), plus care care sheets and all kinds of mantis info, spend an hr or two there and you will be well on your way to being mantis knowledgeable. but if somebody is looking for just a single chinese ooth, it really doesnt matter where you buy it, they are online everywhere and many grow shops, nurseries, and feed stores carry them. i get my chinese ooths at the garden shop (indoor sun shoppe) down the road. but for any other mantis im going to mantidforum. several cf members (including myself) are also members there. jmo
