I just didn't realize how much time I spent with my Maxey. I seem to have so much time on my hands now. I keep stopping myself, telling myself no it's not misting time, no she wouldn't like a grape, no you don't have to be home by eight to turn her lights off so she can get her 12 hours of beauty sleep. My days have to many hours in them now.

It will get better. It is very hard losing a pet, because they are often feel like and are treated like a member of the family. And who knows, there could be many more chameleons in your future that you can open your heart up to. It is not the end. We all miss Maxey for you

Sending ya positive energy from MI tonight. It's unreal how much of your plans daily do revolve around them.

I'm sorry for your loss... It's difficult losing pets you care so intimately for... Still chameleons simply don't get very old (compared to other lizards) and with reptiles it often gets noticed to late if something goes wrong... It's what we signed up for becoming their caretakers.

If you get a new one I'd recommend getting timers for your lights and an automatic mister from the beginning... The odds that electronics fail are smaller than the odds that you forget or are unable to follow up on your routines...
