Entries that did not meet the minimum width requirement of 800px have been removed. The entry deadline is Sunday.

Having a hard time deciding on your favorite?

Comparing the original size of each image can help and is recommended. Photos should not only be judged by the chameleon displayed, but also on composition and image quality.

Its hard enough to choose my pick with the ones that are selected, you want to make it harder on me?!?;)

LOL decadancin! This is a tough one! There's a quite a few that stand out to me. Going to have to get on my computer and really inspect these photos.

Why so many photos have deleted? There was great ones.

Good question. Maybe someone can chime in on that.
I like the photo of the female. It's about time we get a winner that shows the less flashy gender. They are beautiful too.

Yeah, pretty upset that my photo was deleted because it was in portrait instead of landscape, especially considering it had more views than any other photo going into the voting...

Were photos deleted because they were in portrait and not landscape?
When did this rule happen? I submitted mine in portrait I didn't know.

May be its about the max 4MB rule?

Thanks! But i don't have much hope to be 1st. :D She is sooooo beautiful but this photo is not enough to show her beauty.

Well I voted for her.
I love my females as much as I love my males.
They have subtle colors but just as nice.
I had someone here tell me that all females look the same.
Just not so. My nosy be female has really neat aqua shades around her cheeks and I have one ambilobe female that is one of the most yellow I have ever seen.

Good luck, hope she wins

Photos can totally be in portrait, that's not a problem. But they do have to meet the minimum size requirements, so if for example your photo was less than 800 pixels on the long side then it technically didn't meet the contest requirements. I can't see the shots that didn't make it so I don't know, though.

If anyone has questions about specific entries it would be better to shoot Brad a message directly. Because the final decision is his so he's the guy to talk to in private.

There was nothing wrong with the size of your photo. I'd be happy to offer some private feedback.

Brad said some , SOME did not meet the size requirements and were deleted, but gave couple days to fix it Before the dead line. I do not think it is a matter of landscape photos, although I do believe that plays a large roll. Simply for the calendar purposes. Proceeds from the calendar help fund the site. Mine tied for third last month and was not landscape to my knowledge.

Hang in there Fleetwood, Just keep trying and really read over the rules. Even if all rules and guidelines are met It doesn't always guarantee. Know what I mean. Olimpia has been helping me with photos and things. She would help you too if you wanted.

Thanks Julia and Brad,

I did check in windows picture viewer and my photo showed size
of 1085 wide x 933 Height
I am assuming that that meets the size requirements. If not please let me know so I can change the way I take them.

I belive he also has to narrow the photos down to a reasonable number. If every photo was left to the voting round there could be a large number and that would make voting difficult especially since there aren't that many people voting in the first place.

I appreciate it must be very difficult to narrow the number of photos entered down to a manageable amount for the contest. Undoubtedly many good photos don't make it to the voting round.

As usual, I find it hard to pick just one to vote for!
The female panther is beautiful. There's just something neat about the exposure on the "chief" photo. I find "Zoidy" and "Green on green" quite interesting. The "curled tail in face" makes me smile. The Jackson "explorer" is kewl. The "campani" is just a marvelous creature. The composition of "blue steel" is so strangely appealing. Heck, they are all great.
UGH
