Hi when my cham was yunger ha got a infection, URI i think.. he opened he's mouth and did clicking sounds.. so i got some antibiotic and everything was perfect after that. but 9 months later (today) I saw him sitting under the heat lamp as he usually does, but this time he had his mouth opened, so maybe he just tried to cool him self, but when i picked him up I heard 3 clicks in 1 minute.. I've heard some cham makes noises when they feel thretned.. but how do i know if its a infection or id he just tried too get cool?

When he opens his mouth, look to see if there is any mucus. It may look like stringy fluid on both sides of his mouth, around the back. If you don't see any, I would say he was hot trying to cool off. What are the temperatures he is being kept at?

Sounds like overheating........

It sounds like he was overheated a bit. To make sure keep looking at his mouth for signs of mucus. Or look for foamy bubbly stuff when he drinks from foliage.

I've felt and heard a slight noise from male Veileds. It seems like an internal vibration they can make that causes that click. I'm not describing it well because you just have to experience it to know what I'm talking about. It has happened with males who are pissed off and don't want to be handled. It's never been a case of a health issue. URI issues result in sounds like gasping and wheezing. I think this other thing you hear is due to a perceived threat he feels.
