I was wondering whats the optimal UVB light, the repti glo 5.0 (moderate to high UVB concentration) or repti glo 10.0 (ultra high UVB)? Im assuming 5.0 as they're not dessert animals.

Out of curiosity, does anyone use a night lamp?

I have both a 5.0 and a 10.0 on the cage, which is rather large.
I chose the 10.0 because it penetrates deeper and I'm sure he's getting it through the screen. He also has the capability to regulate his heat, and to roam out of his cage to the free rage that isn't lighted.
The red night lights are of no use, and I've heard bad things about them. If you must keep the temperature warmer at night because you live in an extremely cool environment, I would recommend a ceramic heating lamp.

thanks for your input.
I think the night temperature is actually slightly on the warm side, 25c which is approx 70F.

I might consider a 10.0 bulb as the tank is quite tall with plenty of shrubbary.

is it a repti glo or a repti sun? im sure the recommended brand is reptisun.

if there is nothing blocking the light or you have a large gauge mesh (ex. chicken fencing) use 5.0.

10.0 is for fine mesh screening and also for reptariums. That type of mesh can block up to 35% of the uvb penetration.

thanks andrew, I have a flexivarium, which i think in the USA is refered to as the reptariums:
