Miami / Southern Florida people interested in herping

Hey!

Long time no post for me. I will be traveling to south Miami to be assisting on some research with Anoles from May24th-Middle of August, and I need some herp friends. I am looking for places to stay (Miami is expensive) near south Miami, and will be doing the study around Danyan Drive Park area. I am coming from Chicago so I do not know anyone, and I was wondering if anyone in south Miami area or southern Florida would like to go herping sometime. I would really like to use the spare time I have to do as much herping as I can down there, because its way better then the Chicago-land area. I would need a guide to take me to all the good places, and to help ID these herps we find. I am mostly looking to do this for fun and just the experience.

Also, if you know of good places to go and want to just throw them my way, that is cool too. I am unaware of any place to go at the moment so any places you can mention are welcome.

I may be down for some herping. Me and my old lady go out from time to time looking for non-native lizards, well all herps really. (shes from chicago area also) I live in West Palm. What sort of Anole research are you assisting? What species? Anoles are always on my list. The two species Im still looking for are Jamaican Giants and Haitian White Lips. PM me!

Awesome. I am looking to find anything really. I am not so into snakes, so exotic stuff is cool to me.
