Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon - Veilded 3 months old? (not sure) in my care as of 9/7/08
Handling – Handle her maybe once a day no more than 5min somtimes out in the sun. I sometime let her chill on my shoulder.
Feeding – 5-medium size crickets a day, sometime but not often every other day, sometimes she gets waxworms as a snack no more than three once a week.
Supplements - 2:0 calcium no phosphorous w/ d3 twice a month, calcium no d3 on one of the alternating weeks so once a month, that one week I dont use calcium I use a vitamin spray w/ beta carotene
Watering - I mist the plants and screens of the cage for 1 to 3 min. I also leave my dripper on night and day (i have a artificial plant that holds the water that drips)
Fecal Description – black hard on one side white runny on the other (have notice a little yellow as of late)
History - nothing yet
Current Problem – she bobbles sometimes as if she is week. Other times she seems fine and strong.

It sometimes looks like shes about to step but second guesses herself.

Second questions shes had shedded skin on her head for a couple of weeks is that normal?

In one of the pictures under her mouth you can see dark almost bruise looking lines Im not sure what happened. I thought it was dirt but I realized it wasnt after taking a hot water q-tip to her mouth and it wouldnt come off

Changes I am making in the next week:
-Purchase some pre made gut load I often use whatever green and or fruit I have in the refrigirator :(
-get a better daytime heat bulb

I took her out to take these and man she doesnt like cameras she was very

vocal about not wanting her picture taken. Ive never had her hiss at me

except for the first time I took her out of the plastic cup and put her into her

cage the day I got her

Also you say you are using bamboo? Is that lucky Bamboo? If so it is toxic and should be changed out. It really is part of the lilly family not bamboo at all. If it is true bamboo then you are fine.

Do you feed worms ? the stuff on the mouth looks like bug juice to me.

For the shed , it should come off on its own. Maybe some extra mistings using hot water to help her out.

Suppliments

Supplements - 2:0 calcium no phosphorous w/ d3 twice a month, calcium no d3 on one of the alternating weeks so once a month, that one week I dont use calcium I use a vitamin spray w/ beta carotene

Cal no D3 should be offered a little more than that. I use it 3 times a week on the young ounes and D3 twice a month.

You should not be dripping at night. I agree with Ryan, you should be using calcium without D3 4-5 times weekly at this age. Is there any glass or plastic beteween the UVB and the cage top?

wasnt sure so I took it out

I will def stop the drip at night

Like this? If so it is normal.

it is very similar so I guess she is fine.

I will start increasing the frequency of the calcium w/o d3 to 3 times a week and with twice a month

Thanks for the info guys the forums are quite informative. I couldnt beleive

all the items in local petshops with pictures of chameleons on it that turned

out to be bad for chameleons. Plus all the mis-information from employees

and even seeing setups in petshops that are from what Ive read less than

optimal.

btw There is nothing inbetween the ballast and the screen top. It did come with clear plastic over it but it said on the box it would yellow so i took it off

I make that joke all the time , " It has a picture of a Chameleon on it" .:D

They love to use the Chameleon to sell items.
