Mist King Nozzles on Monsoon Mister

Ive looked around if anyone has asked this but i couldn't find a definite answer. Has anyone attempted this and/or does it work? Does it create a finer mist or is there a psi issue that could create issue for the mister's internals?

I know the mistking nozzles take a good amount of pressure to spray but couldn't tell you in the monsoon can handle it. My cham hated the mistking nozzle and would run like crazy to hide from it. I loved the coverage of it but switched to a diy rain ring that psychobunny posted. It goes thru water pretty good but my panther doesn't freak out and will just chill out when it comes on now.

The monsoon doesn't create enough pressure to run them properly, but if you're just running 1 it will spray just not like a mistking.

I have used a Mist King nozzle with the Monsoon for a few months and so far, knock on wood, it has worked well. It does not, however, work as well as my other Mist King nozzles.

The mist is much finer when connected to the Monsoon.

Any 1/4 inch tubing or fixture will work with the monsoon, mist king or aquazamp. That being said the monsoon has got to be one of the worst products on the market. I had one for less than one year and had to have it replaced 3 times. The company never gave me a hassle about it but it was just awful. I upgraded to am aquazamp and in addition to me loving it both of my chams love it as well. My veiled who used to run away from the monsoon nozzles now runs into the mist and starts drinking right away. I also have a raindome and the water droplets remain on the screen between mistings. My panther will go up to the top of his enclosure and drink from the droplets on the screen. Best money I ever spent!

I have a Monsoon 400 misting system and have been using two mistking value line nozzles for over two maybe three years now and they all work fine for my needs. The nozzles will work equally fine with whichever 1/4 inch tubing you purchase, either from mistking or exo terra since i have tried both. The only thing i sometime have to do is to soak the nozzles in a cleaning solution to sometimes unclog them if I use regular tap water. Im not a mistking fanboy & I love my monsoon and have not had any problems with it ever but I won't speak bad about the mistking since i have never used it aside from the nozzles.

I've personally used both. For the record I'm not a fanboy either like a few around the site when it comes to mistking.

I used two Monsoons for a while, one was free so I used them until they died.

Both had the same issue and did not last longer than a year. I would not recommend one. The Mist King on the other hand I've had zero issues with, puts out plenty of pressure and a fine mist. My only gripe with the company is that getting anything shipped from them cost an arm and a leg with their very limited shipping options. The products however are solid.

I use white vinegar to clean out my nozzles about every 3 months by letting them soak overnight. Other than that no other maintenance is performed.

monsoons when searched for are rated pretty low. that being said, i cant say i agree with everything fitting just fine. i had gotten some 1/4" from home depot that didnt fit the mist king stuff, so perhaps i have an odd mist king sizing. i have to insist its hard to kill. i accidentally while moving dropped the pump straight into a bucket. took a few days to dry out and i had to take it apart and spin all the bearings, but it works again. my male veiled didnt like getting directly sprayed with it, and i caught him moving the nozzle several times so he had it where he wanted it.

do you already have the monsoon and are looking to expand? or is it that you have mist king nozzles and are considering the monsoon?

i have owned a monsoon for about a month. If the mistking nozzles show some significant difference in the spray i will try the nozzles out. Otherwise i will keep using the monsoon until it starts giving me problems. I'm leaning towards the aquazamp over the mistking though

Mistking sprays a wider/finer pattern correct? Is this why people switch to the mistking nozzle? Here's a video I seen when looking for a misting system. If I remember right he was using a mistking pump to spray but It shows both nozzles spray pattern. http://youtu.be/Px9zgNNWdBo I must say the rain ring has changed mine and my chameleons life, no more running to hide from the spray, just relaxing in the rain. Can't thank psycobunny enough for posting that.
