Misting

For my 2.5 m/o panther I am currently running a drip all day and misting at lights on, mid day, and near lights off with a hand pump misting bottle. I have also placed my humidifier to blow right into his cage all off the time (he seems to love sleeping with this blowing right into him all night lol). If I have the drip for drinking water available all day, and my humidity levels are good, is it necessary I invest in an automatic misting system? I read somewhere that if misting sessions are not long enough, some chameleons won't drink...at the same time I of course to not want over-do it and risk his health/respiratory infection. Just wondering what some of you think.

Getting an automatic misting system is by no mean a "requirement", However it can make things easier depending upon your schedule.

If you go out of town for a weekend, or something comes up at work or school or whatever, its nice to know your chameleons are still getting the proper amount of water they need to be adequately hydrated.

I hand misted my guys for a few months, until I got a MistKing, and it has been the single best investment for myself, and for the chameleons habitats!

So it is "recommended" but not "required"

I have him in an 18x18x36 but plan on moving him to a 30x30x60 enclosure when he's a year old. Any suggestions on a model that would suffice for both? how much do they run for? I saw some pictures, and they looked confusing, like theyre might be some assembly involved..

This is the cheapest model and I think it's rates up to 10 nozzles. So it's plenty big enough.
I have this same one for 6 different cages and it's wonderful.

It comes with everything for a single misting nozzle. If you want more than one nozzle you need to order more.
