Mites in food!!!!!

Wtf!!!! I have been using this jar of gut load for the last three or so months.... Today I opened it up and noticed hundreds of brown dots all over it, uniform in size and color and found that odd. After looking at them for a few seconds, I noticed one move, then another..... I thought these were dust granules at first but the are ******* mites!!!! They are also all over the inside of the jar.... Don't buy this brand!!! It's a piece of ****! I hope no damage was done to my chams and hope they don't get infested.....

Honestly, after 3+ months, it's not an enormous shock, especially if there was a chance that it wasn't completely sealed at one point. Discard the food immediately. I would even recommend "quarantining" any crickets that had access to the mites and get new ones. I've found that the Repashy brand products are excellent. I also hear good things about cricket crack. Fresh veggies and fruits in the fridge don't usually get mites either.

That's crazy!! Thanks for sharing. Honestly if more people did threads like this, there would only be honest company's standing at the end. Great review and now others and myself are aware of this. We need more people to step up like this.
