Trying to think of ways to optimize the space in a bioactive enclosure. In trying to maximize the amount of green it occurred to me to add moss to the substrate. Is this a viable option?

Well, yes and no. You want to add a small amount of moss (I chop it up) mixed in with all of the other components of your substrate. But, you do not want to leave any just hanging out on the top as you most definitely do not want to risk that your chameleon could eat it while hunting isopods or that escaped feeder.Trying to think of ways to optimize the space in a bioactive enclosure. Terrestrial mosses will grow in chameleon cage conditions. Java Moss probably would too, although, its generally considered to be aquatic. That stuff will grow on almost anything.Yes, that is what I meant
