Mouth open periodically

Hello!
My guy has been sitting periodically with his mouth open. I don't hear any crackling and I don't see any extra saliva. His tongue looks like it's in good shape and his humidity and temperature are at appropriate levels. Whenever my Mist King goes off, or I get close to inspect, he closes his mouth. He is a 10 month old designer panther chameleon. His main diet are gut-loaded crickets dusted with calcium everyday, and calcium with D3 once a month. I give him green hornworms, Mega worms, and butter worms as treats every so often. We live in CT, but the temperatures inside my apt are not extreme. A comfortable 74 degrees F. He lives in a screened in reptibreeze terrarium and has lots of foliage. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Mine does that too on occasion when he's under his basking spot. He's just regulating his temps.

Above 9 months you can raise his basking temps to between 85-90. 83 isn't far off though.

Thank you very much for your prompt responses! I just love the little guy and I know that I care for him to the best of my abilities and Ive done a lot of research on Chams previous and during ownership. This forum has really helped me out with instant feedback.

This is definitely a great place for feedback and proper care help. He is a stunning guy. I love the shade of green he has!
