Chameleon Info:
Rango - Jackson, Male. I've been with him for 4 months now.
Handling - Every other day
Feeding - Mealworms and (mostly) crickets. One or two every morning. I am feeding the crickets with Flucker's high calcium food.
Supplements - Reptivire Calcium with D3 on every feed.
Watering - I mist the chameleon around 3 times a day. He used to drink every morning.
Fecal Description -Fecal is normal. Darkish with the oozing clear liquid.

Cage Info:
Cage Type - Screen 16x12x16
Lighting - Reptisun UVB (tube). 12 hours
Temperature - 80-88
Humidity - I am currently not measuring the humidity but in PR is pretty humid and I am misting 3 times daily. I hope that's fine.
Plants - Only have artificial vines for now.
Placement -It is placed in a table which is high enough.
Location - Puerto Rico

Current Problem:

He had mouth rot almost two months ago and I took him to the vet. He prescribed him Baytril, which I gave to him every other day for 3 weeks. It worked fine, the infection was all gone by the end of the treatment, but it came back yesterday. I noticed him with his mouth a little open and check him, but it wasn't until today that I noticed the infected area. I washed my hands and got all the puss out with a cotton swab. I was wondering if there's any thing I can do for now, since there aren't many reptile vets in PR and I am not close to any of them right now.

When a chameleon has/gets mouthrot its not often gotten rid of with one treatment. It needs to be cleaned out properly and a culture and sensitivity test done on the exudate so that it can be put on the right antibiotic. The most common bacteria involved is pseudomonas and its a stubborn opportunistic gram negative bacteria found "everywhere".

Also...you mention that you are using Reptivite with D3 at every feeding...that might be too much D3 for a Jackson's.

Reptiles have a tendency to have caseous (cheesy) pus that sometimes is walled off from the rest of the body. That can make it much more challenging to treat. Back on the Baytril for your kiddo I bet. You might want to see if they can do a culture and sensitivity to check and see if Baytril is an effective antibiotic. Not all bacteria respond to the same antibiotics and the sensitivity tells the veterinarian what will work. They culture and identify the bacteria and then use little disks of the antibiotic to check it's efficacy or use established guidelines.
