Mouth Rot?

My newest little guy, Spock, has taken a break from eating fake vines and his droopy eye has recovered, however his gums are still a little swollen. I'm wondering if this is mouth rot and if so, how do I fix it? Will it heal on its own in time now that his living conditions have improved (I've only had him for about 2 weeks)? Or am I just overreacting?

I don't really see swelling. Could there be some gum irritation from tugging and chewing on the fake plants? Is there any citrus in your feeder gutload or do you offer the feeders fresh citrus in their diet? I've read that upping the vit C content of gutloads can help prevent infections (maybe by boosting the animals' immune response as it does for humans). That, in addition to overall good nutrition might be a simple low impact way to boost his own healing response.

I think that you are right in that it is just irritated from chewing on vines. I'll keep watching it to see if it gets any worse. I feed the dubias a mix of dry food, carrots, and occasionally oranges. Horn worms and silk eat the mulberry mix. Hopefully now that he isn't chewing on sticks and vines anymore it will become flush.
