Mouth Rot?

As i said in one of my other posts. My chameleon got these weird looking purple smudges and dots on the side of his cheeks and around parts of his head after his first shed with me. could it be mouth rot? his mouth doesn't seem to be swelling and hes eating fine. I tried looking online for some examples and help but they kept saying swelling of the mouth. Could it just be his colors?

Jackson's are prone to temporal gland infections and it looks like this...

There is a little grey mark at the upper corner of the lip on yours but its hard to say if its the beginning of mouth rot or not....just keep an eye on it and if it changes then post a photo again.
