I will be moving here at the end of August. it is a four and a half hour drive. How should i move my jackson's chameleon?

if they can make it cross country in a box in 16 hours..i think he/she will be fine..:) box him up, keep the temps proper (ac if needed) and he/she should do fine..

Grab a shoe box, put some padding inside, make some small air slits... place in a closet for about 20 minutes before your gonna leave. The darkness will make the cham think its night time. They will just fall asleep. Then put the box in a low lit area of the car keep the temps kinda cool as if it were night time. I have done this for vet trips. Jake just slept the entire way. When we got to the vet we opened the box and he woke up, a bit groggy but after a few minutes he seemed just fine.

Yeah chams are responsive to light levels. Make your cham comfortable in a small enclosure where no light can leak in. Provide shock resistant materials and place your cham in an area that's dark. They associate darkness with sleepy time. Your cham will sleep most of the way. Jacksonii aren't the most active of chams anyways.
