Mr Goggles! 1st Cham

Hey guys Just thought I'd show you all Mr Goggles, his eyes remind me of goggles lol so he may be called Mr Goggles he's my 1st ever Chameleon, I've had him for about a week I would say. I am Loving the experience and all the research and help I get from everyone.
He's an Ambanja Panther Chameleon and he's roughly just 2 months and 3 weeks old being born On July 25th 2013 he's a big boy for his age as well I reckon. Here he is!

He has such a personality on him as well its crazy, He doesn't mind me having to tend to his cage from time to time he just looks at me like arhhh! do you have to now? fine... lol but he doesn't seem a bit bothered about it, I also made my own cricket cupper feeder today its all in place at 1st he didn't really like it but after 10 mins he was crawling all near it not bothered by it, the only thing is he hasn't eaten any crickets from it yet, but Im going to give him time and if he doesn't bother with it at all Ill remove it anyways here's my little guy, I could talk about him forever!

Really excited to see what his colours turn out to be as well once he grows up some more

Mr goggles not feeling much love at the min

He's currently in a 45x45x60 cage/viv, feeding really nicely on gutloaded crickets, and he gets the odd mealworm from time to time but not often as I've read that they can go on hunger strikes from crickets because they enjoy the mealworms, today for example I had 1 mealworm in a mealworm feeder next to him and I was holding a cricket, he climbed straight over me, over the cricket and used us to get to the mealworm! haha cheeky monkey!

He also from time to time as well walks around his cage and kind of like licks the vines? he places hos tongue on the vine then walks some more then does it again he does it a few times any idea's why? :S

Temps are all fine, humidity is perfect I spray him 2 times a day, with a humidifier during the day also and I have a big dripper for him also? :S any idea?

It is more than likely him drinking the dew from the leaves and branches, are they life plants? They tend to take a nibble from them from time to time.

no he does it on the exo terra vines i have, he has also done it when ive held him. Was just a little worried incase hes looking for other sources of water rather then the dripper, the humidfier and sprays he already gets not sure ?

What you are seeing is equivalent to a dog marking his territory. He does a quick lick almost like he's sticking his tongue out at you lol!! He is just sensing his territory that's all.

As long as his urate is nice and white and not discolored or yellow you have nothing to worry about

Congrats on your little man. Cutie. The tongue thing is normal. They will do many seemingly strange things that make you shake your head but that is part of why we love them so much!

really nice introducing my little baby to everyone and his poo is brown with white at the ends, seems fine for me he sometimes does slightly watery poo's but then sometimes there normal

also is there any way I can kind of encourage him to drink at all? well or at least from where the drips are coming I've only ever seem him drink once, just little worried that's all but I suppose he doe's drink but doesn't do it in front of me or others.

They drink when they thirsty is not unlikely that you won't see it that's fine as long as his urate is white he is drinking

Arhh ok cool, yeh that's what I always think to myself as well his urine is white, his crown on his head is still bulky he must be drinking

he always climbs to the top of my cage and hangs upside down sometimes even doing like acrobatics hangs on just to legs and lets his other legs dangle any suggestions for this one ? ha!? its quite funny to see to be honest

hehe fair does, Gave mine some little encouraging today he comes out in the mornings basks, has a little bit of food, walks around his cage and then he normally goes back to his comfy hiding spot and stays there all day! lol I came home from work little early today, seen him in his spot opened up the leafs stroked underneath his chin and he slowly came out climb on me and was crawling all over my hands now he's back in there crawling around his cage, basking also and hopefully eating more crickets that I can see just chilling at the top at the back.

He's basking on the ceiling today, this mean he needs more heat? or you just reckon he prefers it there?
also sometimes when he basks, I know sometimes they buff up there body to get more heat/UVB but sometimes my little guy opens his mouth when he does it? any idea's??

wish he didn't bask on the roof though he's fell once today because I think he gets in the zone and forgets he's hanging upside down :S

The top branch should be as high as possible, yes it is ok for him to fall from time to time the do trip to. What time of day are you feeding him? Arr you dusting your crickets?
