Mucusey Stool

Zoey just poo'd and when it first was out was covered in mucus. I took some pictures (I have to upload them) but it doesn't really show in the pictures. I was wondering if this was normal? (I've never seen her go before so I don't know)

Nothing has changed with her diet or watering, recently added a bucket of sand to her enclosure but thats it.

Like I said you can't really see the mucus in the pictures.

Unless it looks fine to you. I know it looks okay but the mucus concerned me.

(I do know that the urine has too much yellow/orange color too it. She's started to drink normally a few days ago.)

From the pictures it looks perfectly normal.

Mucus in the stool is normal, depending on the amount of mucus. Dry stools are a concern. Or stools that consist only of mucus. A stool with a large amount of mucus can happen occasionally, and would be considered normal so long as subsequent stools have normal mucus.

Urates do look yellow. How often do you water/mist her, and by what method? I know from experience it can take 2-3 days of good hydration before yellow/orange urates will become white. The tip of her urate looks very white, which likely means you are on the right course for hydration.

Thanks! Like I said I've never seen them go before. Normally they do their business when I'm gone. So it worried me. Thanks you Gesang.

She gets misted 3-4 times a day, Dones't always drink. And she has a little dripper set up all day that drips slowly throughout the day. (we are still messing with the dripper seems sometimes it stops and we need to fix it)

We just started using the Drippers. We used to mist them 5-6 times a day to make sure they got enough water and then we found the drippers up in storage so we cleaned them up and set them up! I will take the tubes off of them and look for a clog though. Thanks !

Nice. I'm making a homemade dripper. Its going to be a cup with holes on the bottom and it just drips.

We might make our own drippers. These ones we can't get to drip slow enough and so they drip really fast. We have to lay towels down on the bottom of the cages.

Wouldn't be so bad but the waters not landing in one place seems its hitting the plant leaves.
