Hello everyone...does anyone know the ingredients used in the cricket food sold by Mulberry Farms? Is this a good food for gutloading or should it be supplemented with veggies as well? I've tried to contact them but have yet to receive a response...Thanks...

I put in organic spring mix and have tried frozen vegetable mix and perhaps I am feeding too much, but when I go to check on the food supply, I find a disgusting goo.

Is there someway I can keep the food matter seperate from the cricket poop?

I am tempting to susupend the lettuce somehow by using a mesh bag or something. I was hoping the Crack would be the ONLY food I would need for them, now you advise to still use veggies... :(

There is nothing like raw vegetation when it comes to insect food. Yes, cricket crack is great, but crickets still require some sort of moisture in conjunction with it. It's sort of like running an orphanage and having boxes upon boxes of cereal, with no milk. ;)

I was hoping to provide them with the wet cotton ball for moisture. I am so sick of the smell and goo from rotting food

Along with my fruit/veggie gutloads, I use cricket quencher and cricket total bites (both are wet gutload). Neither of them produce foul odors or dry out to quickly. It a good way to gutload crickets and provide some moisture.

Keep the veggies separate.

Only put a small amount and provide ventilation.

And there is always water crystals. I use water crystals and veggies.
