Here are some pics of Boomer. He was looking very pretty today and it is his hatchday in 2 days so I thought I would grab a few. Excuse my photos as they are not the greatest, but you can get the idea anyways! Boomer to me is on the small side (around 140- 145 grams) I guess that is just the way he is growing or may just be a small and colorful fellow! Oh well, it has been fun getting him to a year old thus far. Also, can anyone who has a panther around 1 year of age tell me their weight. I am just curious. My Romeo was around 200 grams when he was a year old.

 I cannot believe how handsome this man is! If there ever is a time that he sir's I would like to be in line!!! haha again beautiful man you have there!

Happy Hatch Day your gorgeous little man!

Carol, I'll look up the panthers weight and post this evening. I know Hendershot was always the smaller boy and it seems like they didn't fully fill-out until about 18 months old.

Congratulations Boomer for being the most outstanding amjamba I've ever seen yet! *clap*clap*clap*clap*:D

150 gram range for around a year does not appear to be exceptionally small, in fact, that honestly seems to be average for an adult male. None of our current adult males within that age range exceed 170 grams, and they are all healthy, adequately, if not overly, fed and well hydrated. Boomer is going to continue growing at a healthy pace for another 4-6 months at least, you just have to give him time. :) In regards to size, all of our Sambava males were larger than any of our other locales of identical age, their coloration on the other hand was significantly less developed until they reached the 1.2-1.4 year range.
Also, here is a quick snap of Gemini, several months younger brother to Boomer, right before his daily dubias.

I would get him to fire up a bit more, but I am currently attempting to remove the majority of stress from his surroundings in order to provide him with a more comfortable breeding environment.

Thank you Provancha. That put my mind at ease. I have heard that about Sambava also
Your Ambanja is a little beauty! Grimbold makes some nice babies!

Here's the panther's weights at one year old.

Mufasa: 146 grams
Sid: 182 grams
Jr: 170 grams
Hendershot: 117 grams
