It was my fault... I left his reptarium open a bit so that the plants can get more sunlight... I have done this pretty much since I have gotten him and for a while I had put a branch that extended from his reptarium and went over to the windows that are 2 ft away from his cage- he always was scared of the branch and didnt use it.
I searched for him and couldnt find him at first... I started freaking out (we have 2 dogs and a cat- the cat used to hunt everything and bring it inside) my husband started to help me look all over the room. We checked everything 3x over... I went to check the next room then I came back and saw him climbing on my diy trellis (its an eggcrate that I hung off of a curtain rod and my passiflora vines are climbing it until its warm outside again).
I have just begun to "tame" him and he will climb on me and hand feed... When i take him out of his enclosure (3x a week at most) I let him sit on my arm next to the windows by my plants and he will stare out at the cars going by. Seems that he liked it more than I had thought since he ended up in that same spot today and only puffed up at me when I tried to take him away.
I wanted to have a free range for him this year when he was a bit older and more "tame" with me... I guess I had better start tomorrow on this.
How can I make sure he is drinking enough water while on his free range (I have an idea but it may be messy outside of his cage)? He can always go back in and eat crickets or warm up under his heat lamp.
