Welcome to the forum. This kind of question is best posted to the Health Clinic forum (perhaps a moderator will move this thread there). But my veiled chameleons horn is swollen on both sides more on one than the other. I’m not sure why and I’m wondering if anyone has seen something similar happen to theirs? Please let me know! Thank you!!!
This chameleon needs a vet with reptile experience preferably chameleon experience. Looks like an infection in the casque maybe from a thermal burn. Could be an abscess. This really is not something you can leave untreated.I replied to someone’s comment with pictures, you can take a look if you would like and yes I meant casque. Sorry

Get a reptile thermometer with a probe; put the probe on or just above the main basking branch, wait a few minutes, then check the temp...should be 80-85. Then, put the probe at the closest point to the bulb that your chameleon can reach. Temp should be less than 95. Again, your Sunray is not a good bulb if you don’t own a solar meter.i took her to the vet yesterday and the swelling went down tremendously. The doctor said to just wait a few days and to see what happens.
she also said to check the temperature in the cage but how would I do that if it is an all screen cage?
Did they say it was an infection or a burn? How did they treat it? It is not normal for their casque to just swell up like that.i took her to the vet yesterday and the swelling went down tremendously. The doctor said to just wait a few days and to see what happens.
