My Chameleon fell about 10 inches onto my dresser and has turned dark brown, his tongue hangs partially out of his mouth and doesn't move much exceppt to open his mouth and his legs and tail occasionally.

He's a juvenile veiled.

thanks, i can barely tell he's breathing so i'm really worried....
also i left him in some moisture and periodically spray his tongue to keep it wet, any idea as to what's wrong with him?

Possible scenario:

He has knocked himself out.
In which case, youll just have to wait it out.

He has broken a his back/neck and will not live.

Im sorry, thats all I can think of atm.:(

Im not the most experienced person here though...

Im sorry for the short random posts, but I felt that I should answer fast.

I welcome you to CF.
I am sorry its under these circumstances you are here.

Do not give up hope!

If his tongue is out, yes keep it MOIST. That is imperative.

i wish the circumstances were better too, this is my first chameleon so i get very paranoid with him, because my last lizard (chinese water dragon) was killed because he ate a pesticide sprayed cockroach that crawled into his cage a couple years ago.

If you can, fill this out please.
Its a form we use to go over husbandry.
It gives us a picture of how the animal lives, so that we can accurately troubleshoot an issue.
I know it may seem ridiculus to fill it out now, but Ive learned you just never know.
So if/when you have time, it may help.

u can also use tinypic.com
and i really hope he just knocked himself out
i mean i dont think they can move their limbs if they do... my chams have fallen and even jumped but ive never seen them hit anything solid besides carpet and bedding and once into a large sheflera

how do i attach a picture?
Hey I just seen you're posts. Sorry to hear that. To attach a picture you click attachments, which will be in between the smilies and the undo/redo arrows. A new window should pop up that will say Manage Attachments. Click browse and go to your pictures. Once you've selected the one of your cham click upload. It will take a few moments to download and when it does click attachments again. The file that Titles your picture will be present and you click it and then send the post. For any of this to work you have to have the memory card from your camera, that has the picture of your cham on it, plugged into your computer or if it's a USB cable use it. It it's on your phone use the USB cable for it.

i put him in his bowl with warm water to keep his skin hydrated, i spray him every few minutes to keep his tongue wet.
