My chameleon keeps going this colour is it normal for her?

I've had Lexy for just over a week now she's 4 months old as I got her from a reptile pet shop in my local area.
She's perfectly healthy. She eats normally but keeps going behind the log to hide and changes to the colour in the image. I'm very concerned about her.

I will let you know soon.

Fill out the form... Stop fogging during the day. Post pics of the entire cage set up. Specifics on your lighting on top as well. Looks like her eyes are closed in that pic. Which indicates stress and or illness. So this would be an immediate need for edits to husbandry to ensure baby does not decline further.

Also I don't have a fogging machine.

The last picture of her I showed you was the first time I got her

If you are able to post pictures of the entire cage and totally fill out the form then members can help you. Without this information we can not tell you what needs to be corrected so you have a successful experience keeping a chameleon.

So what is your actual question? In your initial post all you asked was if it was normal with her coloring behind the log where she is hiding. People are trying to help you because while the coloring is not a concern in that pic the fact that she is hiding with lights on and her eyes are closed indicate a health issue. That is not normal behavior for a healthy chameleon to do while lights are on.

If you do not want the additional help being offered by filling out the form so we can make sure you received all the correct info for what to buy ensuring you have a positive experience with your new chameleon. I do not know what you would like to know other than what I already commented on.

If you do not want interactive help from the forum members then here is a good husbandry program that will teach you accurate info and tell you about normal vs not normal. https://chameleonacademy.com/chameleon-husbandry-program-getting-started-with-chameleons/

I don’t think there is anything wrong with the colour health wise. She may be stressed by something. Is there a mirror or reflective area she can see from her cage? What’s the basking temperature in the cage?
Can she see other reptiles or animals?
