My Chameleon seems to have a skin tag

My chameleon Gizmo seems to have a red skin tag beside his mouth. Has anyone seen this type of thing before? Appreciate any answers. thanks

That skin tag is not the only problem. Just from this photo, he looks morbidly obese. Please post more photos.

While not even close to an expert, I don’t think that’s a skin tag. My first guess would be a papilloma or possibly inflamed tissue maybe due to mouth rot. Also, I agree that he is obese. What and how often are you feeding him?

Thanks for your response. I feed him every other day. Is that too much? Is there a treatment I give him? He does drink water too and I feed him Horn Worms. I have had him since 2017 as a baby. I want to make sure he is ok.

How much do you feed him? What bugs?

If it’s a papilloma, there’s no treatment, but a vet can remove it. If it’s inflamed tissue from another cause, you need a vet visit. It doesn’t really look like a papilloma to me. As far as I know, those don’t usually have pink. I’d say a vet visit is the best course of action. We can help you to plan a diet for your guy to help get him to a healthy weight though. Can you show us more pics of him?
