Some if not all may go through a grumpy stage. Some stay that way and others come back round to tolerate handling. Give them space and try hand feeding if you don't already.
Hopefully they will come round again, if not, you got to accept it and enjoy them for them. Kath.

Oh, don't take it personally. Many chams don't really like anyone. That's why I feel cham owners need a dog, cat, bearded dragons, or other more appreciative pets to make them feel better! :D

Many chams go through a terrible teen phase at around 5 months. Hormones are part of it. They are halfway between resenting any intruder to their turf (and think they are hot stuff), and halfway still fearful of you, even though as babies they didn't seem worried about it.

Do you hand feed them treats? They can learn that you are a source of good things. Also, many grumpy chams calm down once they are OUT of their cages. You can coax one onto a stick instead of your hand, and take them out that way. Once they realize that a trip on your hand or the stick results in a nice trip to a favorite spot they chill a bit.

My guys about 10 months old and is as grumpy as they come. Sometimes he'll tolerate me in his cage other times it's a stand off. I still let him out every day. I just put a plant in front of his cage and run a ladder to it. He loves to come out but its not always so easy getting him back in. I usually turn the plant and lean it towards his cage and try to give him a little nudge from the back. However this turns in to a stand off more times than not. He doesn't want me touching him so I don't but he is still able to roam out of his cage on a daily. Hopefully one day he will come around. I know I'm not quit trying

I agree they are probably going through the "teen" stage of their lives they don't want to be handled or go in their "rooms" lolllll don't worry try treats !
