im gutloading my crickets with:

collard greens
mustard greens
alfalfa sprouts
baby carrots
asparagus
watercress
tropical fish flakes

all put into food processor seperately then mixed together. freeze portions that arent used, will last me about 3-4mo. cost about $12 at grocery store.

NOT ONLY THAT:

but, i also give them the best grain based feed found on the internet, vet recommended.

also, slices of mango, apple, and pear.

ALL of these are offered to the crickets at the same time.

supplementation is followed as recommended on this site.

am i missing anything? think this is sufficient? overkill?they absolutely love the mixes. my crickets are so healthy i almost wanna eat em.

Wow! That sounds great! The healthier the cricket, the healthier the cham. It sounds like you are doing just fine.

I dont know about the fish flakes but it sounds like you are providing a good gut load. Are you using cricketfood.com as your grain. That is what I use and the bag goes a long way. Still not even close to done with my first bag that I got months ago. I put just enough in so I dont waste. I at first was doing what you are with getting all this stuff. Well now I use cricket food .com and I rotate my veggies and fruits. A couple at a time instead of having a thousand different things. This makes it much easier on me.

yeah im using cricketfood.com grain. and the fishflakes are loaded with vitamins and minerals; was recommended in a few articles.

im keeping bout 500 or so crickets right now, and have had only half dozen or so crickets die on my me. but they are eating this food like crazy!!! its almost like they are fighting to get to the greens mix. speaking of..... i gotta go give em another helping.

i just cut up a bunch of turnup, collard, and mustard greens, and a few
carrots, apple, orange, or strawberries.
its funny because i enjoy making these "sal lads" but i hate most
veggies myself.
that is why i want a tort, so i can make a sal lad.

i have a garden, so its funny when my friends ask what im doing and i reply with: "im growing food for my feeders for food for my chameleon." bout to plant a mulberry tree for my silkworms, all about cuttin costs baby!!!

i know what you mean, but i just but .89 worth of greens a week.
i can pay less than a $1 a week.

but as for the mulberrry, that is a good idea. ive been wanting to get one
but i cant find any around my house...yet.

although there is a house by mine with a very very large mulberry tree
that i plan to take some leaves from, but i will ask permission first.
if not there is a branch that hangs over the fence and i will take
some from there at night. i remember taking mulberrys from that tree
when i used to ride my skateboard and then i would get mad because
the mulberrys stained my wheels!
