My Dry Gutload mix

Recently I ran out of Cricket Crack and was looking for some more online, after seeing the prices I figured I could make way more for myself at a cheaper rate so here is what I did.

I went to the local natural food store and bought a few things. Spirulina, flax seed, bee pollen, organic raw pumpkin seeds & brazil nuts, Brewers Yeast, Rosehips, and I also bought some Chlorella.

I blended them all together and locked them in some air tight containers and put them into the freezer. Usually I blend up my wet gutloads but this was the first batch of dry I made. What you guys think? Should I have done anything different? I fed some to my feeders and wow did they attack it!

Excellent. I'm sure you have seen Sandrachameleon's blogs about gutload. Here is my mix: Wheat germ, spirulina, bee pollen, brewers yeast, spelt, granola, alfalfa sprouts, dried apples, dried papaya, raw sunflower seeds, millet, barley, flax, sesame and rye. I used to use oat bran as a large portion filler, but learned through Sandra that it has too much phosphorus. I order my stuff from www.bulkfoods.com and spend usually about $100 not including shipping. I order large quantities because it is cheaper in the long run, but I make enough gut load to last at least a year, maybe a little more.
