My Free Range Set Up

hey everybody, So my little guy got too big for his enclosure and I decided to FR him 24/7. He really loves it, he could sit and stair out the window all day long. I'm just wondering what you all think? Any ideas for drainage? As of now I have as you will see in the photos, cardboard covering the carpet with some towel's that I interchange on a daily basis. He's hand sprayed 3 times a day for at least 2 mins and as some of you may have seen also drinks from a shot glass when presented with it. I also needy to do something about the lighting, the uvb bulb now isn't big enough to cover the entire space he occupies so to combat the low lvl's I have been supplementing with real sunlight by just taking him outside but I am afraid I wont be able to do this much longer because its getting cold.

Could you hang the lighting from the ceiling?

As for drainage, you could build a low, sturdy, wooden platform that slants about 1/2" toward one side. Put all your stuff on the platform (sealed, of course) and then put a Rubbermaid/Sterlite container on the low end for the water to drain into. Ideally the container would fit under the platform. Also I wouldn't leave the container fully open - just cut the lid enough for the water to run in.

my next step is to get a like a 18" or some bigger florescent enclosure to yes hang from the ceiling I have just been trying to find the appropriate size. anybody have any ideas for where to get a good fixture from? as for the drainage that's a good idea, I was thinking about stealing the https://www.chameleonforums.com/jungle-floor-finished-last-94457/ that some other genius had posted on this forum already and doin what you were talking about.

I can't give you any advice because I've never free-ranged......but that looks nice to me and your little guy looks great Nice work.

you can go to home depot, or lowes, and get fixtures that are for long tubes... which would fit the uvb...

Just a tip, get rid of all the cardboard on the floor and go to toy's r us and get a 6' plastic kiddie pool. They are only $16 and works great.
