my gift made me cry......

Have you ever received a gift so thoughtful and special it made you cry?
Last night my friend Amy gave me a painting for my birthday, her daughter painted it, it was from my last moments with Max, my beloved old panther, who passed not long ago. He was holding my finger when he passed.
I still miss him so I have not taken the loss of a cham so hard except for Olive, I love all my chams, but some just become part of your soul - Max was one of those -

I have not been on much, the rescue keeps me to busy - I put this on FB also, but wanted to share it here too - I miss all of you !!

In the dog rescue world they talk about a "heart dog"...the one that meant the most to you even though you have loved all your dogs. There are some chams that touch my heart more than others even though they are all unique and special. Its hard to define and there's no need to try. They were who they were.
