I haven't seen this before in females, what is this is this a concern or maybe shes just getting fat? She grew up really fast. VERY surprisingly I think she grew to adult size faster than my Gracillior boy is growing. Take a look! Jean Janet hopefully knows.. The bulge is between her legs on her belly. Yes shes got a little gular Edema going on and it comes and goes like all the time strangely as well.

What is your misting schedule like? What I would be worried about is she's not getting enough to drink... Though idk. I assume Janet would have started you off correctly...? But not sure if you got her from Janet.

The females do grow up faster than the males.
My retired female has that little pouch, I thought from laying so many clutches, and she has no edema and not overweight.

What do you feed /gutload the insects with?

Just feeding them crickets and dubia mostly right now, stopped the horn worms as they seem to be big enough already lol. Feed the feeders; Kale, carrots, grapes, bell peppers, oranges, cucumbers grape tomato's rarely, Bug burger, and rarely some water crystals but usually they all seem to get what they need from these greens. Even trying to see if they like pineapple but no go so far.

About 5 mistings for 30 seconds each everyday, I would do less in number with longer duration mistings but the draining becomes an issue real after about 50 seconds quick if I do.

What's your supplementation schedule like? Quads don't seem to tolerate oversupplementation well.

I think you may be right on the money. I have been mixing heir feeders with my panthers feeders when I dust em so, they end up dusted.. I'll cut that out for a week straight at least and see if that helps, come to think of it I think I already knew this was probably the issue I just kinda forgot that I am way over doing it. (I dust my panthers feeders very lightly like nearly every day tho... My bad.. I will post pics of the recovery, I got money on this being the issue tho!

I dont know much about that species but she is a very beautiful chameleon
Look at her sister that doesn't have as bad of edema, shes stunning right now.
So glad I thought to just ask yall, I totally was just getting lazy and forgot, then kept dusting all the feeders in the same tub I use for selecting the food to save time.

Often edema is from a mix of things and though over supplementation is the most well known, chronic dehydration is more likely but less known about. In my opinion you are not misting for near long enough for a mind and species and if you have a drainage issue that should be immediately fixes. I mean you aren't even misting the minimum for panther or veiled. For montanes I have a regular long misting in the morning, usually at least 10 minutes, and then the rest of the three listings I give them through out the day are around 5 minutes. Once a week I do something like a 30 minute misting to really allow for good water in take and other hygiene stuff that humidity and long mists help with (like eye cleaning and shedding)

That is not enough water!!!! They absolutely need a lot more water than that.

Drainage is an issue you need to deal with immediately. You cannot deprive them of water because you haven't planned for drainage.
