My guy has learned to drink from his spray bottle!

I'm just adoring my little panther; he's such an intelligent lil guy. Today he came up to me as I was hand misting his enclosure & sat there facing the mist bottle drinking. I gently squeezed the trigger so it was just slightly spraying out and he went right up to it and just let me spray him gently in his mouth, drinking all the while. When he had enough, he turned around & walked away. :D He's incredibly smart for having a reptilian brain. When he wants out..he clings onto his door & stares at me..so I'll let him out for a bit. When he wants his space..he'll flare up at me & or show me his teeth. If he wants to be held..he'll climb out to me onto my hand. I feel so blessed with this guy!

Very cool. It can be very handy to have your cham drink from a spray nozzle or syringe. Makes it much easier to give hydration if they ever have a problem. Your little guy sounds great.

Sounds like you made a little friend of your cham.
That is great, few people can do that.

I got Squee to drink from a pipett, just drip the water right in his mouth, but he only let me do it once so far. He may have just been thristy at that time I guess.

Do be careful with the spraying as already mentioned.

Thank you! I make sure that when I spray him when he comes right up to the bottle, I squeeze the trigger super slowly and gently so that it comes out as a dribble and not a really a spray. It's a mini spray bottle so does not have as much force a large bottle. I try to be very conscious of that as I don't want him to inhale his water. Thanks so much for the input :) I'm really surprised with how personable he is; I've seen some super feisty chams. Don't get me wrong though; he let's me know when he wants me to step! ;)
