My little Veiled

My little veiled, Pascal, came to me in January from a reptile show shortly after my previous veiled, Mikey, died from a two year battle with sinus abscesses. Pascal is a rascal.... he doesn't run from you when you reach into the cage to get him, he stands and fights lol. Shortly after i got him, he stopped eating and developed a "gurgley" hiss. I took him to my two reptile vets who work together and i am good friends with. As my luck runs, when i took him in to get his gurgle check out he didn't have it. My vets took a swab and swabbed his trachea for a culture and we got back pseudomonas spp, and enterococcus spp. He also had a fecal sample done and he had pinworms and coccidia. My vets gave me albon and fortaz to treat him with after we got the results back.
I just finished the fortaz yesterday :) he didn't have his gurgle about half way through the fortaz treatment and the albon was only for 10 days. Ever since he lost his gurgle he has been eating again by himself, although he won't cup feed anymore with really sucks because he did when i got him. He has been feeling better and acting much better after the fortaz and i recently went back to the reptile show and got him some hornworms, butterworms, and dubia roaches (he has taken a liking to the dubias and hornworms but he still will go for the wax worms i have and butterworms first lol) Well i just thought i would share my story about the beginning of Pascal :)

Now, Pictures!! (pics of enclosure to come hopefully soon)
