My New Gracilior Baby!!! Too Excited!!!

So, I have always wanted T. quadricornis quadricornis to be my next venture. I love Montane species and it was one of the pinnacle species for me to keep. But, so much of my space has been taken up by my Melleri in the last 4 years that I never felt it was a good time to start my Quad experience.

But, now that my Melleri are getting their own building for the breeding project, it gives me back two rooms in my house. So, I was super excited that I was going to have the room for some Quads.

Last week I started talking to a fellow Chameleon Forum Member, Janet, about her Quads. She was so thoughtful to answer every question I had. Instead of getting into T. quadricornis quadricornis, we started talking about T. quadricornis gracilior. Janet has such a passion for this particular species. Eventually, it was decided that I should buy one of her Gracilior babies. So, to make a long story short, we met up yesterday and she brought me my new little Gracilior baby. I am over the moon with this little guy!

Thanks to Janet, @jajeanpierre, for bringing me such an awesome chameleon!! I really enjoyed talking with you yesterday....great fun!!!

I am thrilled you have him! I care very much that my babies get into good homes, and I couldn't be more thrilled for you to have him. Get him out in that sun while you still can! I very much enjoyed meeting you--I wish we could have spent more time talking but we both had long drives home. For anyone who is interested, I have a male and a female sibling left.

Very cool little guy... Congrats! (y)

Admittedly, my initial draw to Chameleons was the vibrant rainbow of colors you see from Panthers. However, the more I learn the more fascinated I become by Quads. They may not have the same variety of colors you see on a Panther, but the depth of their Green coupled with the fact that they have horns has become equally stunning (to me)! o_O

Horns, dragon spikes under their chin, a sail fin and for graciliors, red toe nails.. The red toe nails are so cool! My avatar is an adult male gracilior, like the baby Joel has.

Plus, you should have seen Janet's adult male Gracilior in the sunlight yesterday!! It was amazing. The blues that were all over his body and the head were outstanding! Of course we were in a small town, in a café parking lot standing at the trunk of her car...so I'm pretty sure people thought we were making a drug deal! Lol, even better....a chameleon deal!

Oh, gosh, I never thought of that--a drug deal. I wonder if anyone even noticed them crawling on the car.

He wasn't his usual pretty colors, honest. He was a little worried by everything.

Lol, considering the town had a population of roughly 1,300 people and we were "outsiders" parked at what appeared to be the only place open...there is no telling what they were thinking. Just kidding!!

If he has more impressive colors to offer, then that just makes me more excited...because I thought his colors were amazing!
