My new guy.... Ragnar...

I've been wanting a "blue guy" for awhile, he's kinda a "blue guy in the works". He's a Nosey Faly...
His name is Ragnar, after a Norse ruler and hero during the Viking Age, according to poetry.... I'm a Vikings fan which is on the History channel..
He's about 5.5 months old and I've had him a week tomorrow...
He's on the skittish side but he's already showing progress, actually taking silkies and crickets from my hand and cup feeding which he wasn't used to. He's going to take some TLC and lots of patience but I have lots of that.....
Here are some pics I took, not the best but I he doesn't like the camera..., yet!!! ;-)

LOVE the name!

I plan on naming my next chameleon Ragnar or Brynjolf (nordic/norse names).

Ragnar because...

"There once was a hero named Ragnar the Red
Who came riding to Whiterun from ole Rorikstead
The braggart did swagger and brandish his blade
As he told of bold battles and gold he had made

But then he went quiet did Ragnar the Red
When he met the shield-maiden Matilda who said,
"Oh, you talk and you lie, and you drink all our mead,
Now I think it's high time that you lie down and bleed!"

And then came the crashing and slashing of steel
As the brave lass Matilda charged in full of zeal
And the braggart named Ragnar was boastful no more

When his ugly red head rolled around on the floor!"

Obviously I wouldn't want my chammie's head rolling around on the floor, but I do love an originally norse/nordic name + Skyrim, so yeah. (Song comes from Skyrim bards)

Brynjolf because it's a cool norse/nordic name also featured in Skyrim...

I am in love with that game.

But dang Ragnar is an awesome name! Congrats on the new guy.

Uhhhhhh,, thanks Emily... You've definitely done some research!!!! ;-)

Do you have any closer pics your guy should have a ton more color for his age...
No, no more pics st the moment... I hope to get him outside this weekend... and let him enjoy the natural UV and warmth of the sunshine....
In time, I'm sure I'll have more to show you.... ;-)

That is not always necessarily true. Some color sooner than others. I had a Sambava at 5 months that basically was grey with a little red dotted here and there. He blossomed into a beauty, but it took awhile! BTW congrats Lisa!!! I am sure he will color up soon enough!

I actually memorized that song  But you get the idea

Overall I just wanted to make a point of "I love Ragnar the name" for your cham, but went overboard

Thanks Carol!!!! I have no worries about him "coloring up" ,,,,, I'm just tickled to have him and take on the challenge of "socializing" him,,,, the physical "highlights" will come,,, or not.. ;-)

I know i have seen a year old with barely any coloring before and it was ambilobe. I just know Columbia has really nice falys and was exspecting a ton of blue with some rain i wasnt trying to be offensive

No offense taken..... He's just going to be a late bloomer!!! ;-)

Lisa,he looks very good. Don't worry about the color it will come after he settles in. I have a male from Chuck G and a female from the exact same parents as yours just an earlier clutch. It took my male a little while but his color is coming on fast now. :)
