My new homemade tank setup

Hello everyone! I'm new to this forum and want to know what you think of my new tank setup!

I have a 4m/o veiled chameleon
2 firebellied toads
3 anoles ...2green 1brown/bhaman
1 firebellied newt
And a few fish in the water

I took 2* 10 gallon tanks and sealed them together and broke the glass out of the top one and put a mesh lid on it. For air circulation I put a small fan on top on low for a couple hours a day.
Average humidity is 80-100% and average temperature is 90-105*F
Let me know what you think and if anyone has any suggestions!
Thanks!

So all these animals are in the same tank? Unfortunately this is a recipe for disaster. Where should I start? I don't want to insult you but it will not work for very long and all your animals are at risk right now. The environment is completely wrong for a chameleon...much too humid and much too warm.

If you have all those in the same tank you're likely to find some of them missing one day and I don't think it would be good for the chameleon to eat toads and salamanders.

I get what you're trying to do and the idea seems cool, but this will not end well. Those are not ideal conditions for your chameleon as stated by Carlton. If or once he grows in a few months, he will make a meal out of everything else in your tank.

Once he gets bigger, I'm going to separate them. And the humidity is only measured in that range for the lower part of the tank. Not the higher. And his basking spot is in that temperature range

I will suggest that separate time will be now, before something happen to ur beautiful chameleon, there are too many different type of species live under one roof,I like ur united nation idea, but I wont never ever put them together cause they all from different parts on the earth, the pecking order food chain are waiting to be happen soon.

All the lizards *seem* to like each other. They cuddle in the corner ontop of eachother. Even the chameleon
I had them all together as juveniles

Lol,I had my thought pretty similar like urs,but I never ever put them all in together like a circus...,and i learn the hard way that chameleon do not cuddle,it jus a way that I was giving my feeling to them on a one way basis to substitute my lost of love, they probably love it when you feeding them and have u paying their electric bill, but they wont cuddle u or to different type of pets for sure, sometimes truth hurts, but we will learn to except for a better outcome.

Are the fish okay to keep with the cham? It's a good water source for the humidity. I don't care if they are eaten

Fire bellied toads and newts have toxins they excrete through their skin....whats going to happen to any of your lizards that try to eat one or even just sit on one?

I wouldn't suggest any fish in your chameleon environment, plus the water will create lots bacteria especially when some living fish produce lots waste of their own in that water they live in.can you imagine ur beautiful chameleon take drink on that poison water:(

kinyonga is absolutely correct, that will cause a funeral waiting to be happen.

Well the fire bellied toads are ALWAYS in the water.... The chameleons tongue is not able to hit a toad in the water because of the distortion of the water, correct?

That is a great question, since the chameleon is a moving creature,u never know when will he trave down near the water...have you watch ur chameleon in a period of time.they sometime try to take a lick on the vine or pathway before they move on,plus they can shoot their tongue out in a quite long distance, what about if ur cricket or any feeder, falling in those contaminated water, and ur cham happen to catch one of those pray,is that worth the risk for your precious cham??

Firebellied toads are semi-aquatic....so they may come out on the land. If eaten they could kill your chameleon.
Since these animals come from different parts of the world they can carry different diseases...diseases that they might not be affected by themselves but that might kill some of the others in your group. Just my two cents worth.

Liamf1, we have seen people try to do this before, and it never works. The cage is much too small; there are far too many animals in the enclosure, and none of these creatures live in the same habitat or have the same care requirements. PLEASE take our advise and set each animal up in its own, proper enclosure ASAP. No one can thrive in this setup. We have seen this exact experiment before many times here on the forum, and one or all of the animals will die.

Oh no I can't just look past this thread. As kinyonga said, firebellied toads are semi aquatic and will eventually venture up in the enclosure. Firebellieds are also poisonous which will make the water toxic (this will harm your animals!) and kill any animal that tries to eat it (mainly your veild). Wasnt too long ago someone posted a pic about their cham trying to fish for a fish by sticking its head under the water. I would not have firebellies with other animals just cause their toxins nor would I have different species together over all because of stress. Sorry bud

Yes. Please take the advice of forum members. A lot of the people that responded to your post have responded to almost every single post of mine. When I was a complete beginner, I also had a lot of ideas that I was extremely exited about that took time and money to make, however they ended up not suting the needs of my animals, so I did what was best for them. So Liamf1, please, for the sake of your animals, listen. We all make mistakes, it's just the fact that we fix them or don't that matters.
