My Panther chameleon wont eat

My Chameleon Jefe wont eat for some reason

He is about 6 or 7 months old.

His cage is a 24x24x48 screen cage.

I have two natural ion bulbs and one reptisun 5.0 that covers one end of the cage and an exo terra equivalent that shines on the otherside.

He has a 100w bulb in a 106 degree heat bulb spot which appears to be hot but I switched it out for a 75 watt recently. However he didn't seem to mind the 100w and generally thermoregulates.

I occasionally dust his food with calcium power from flukers (no d3).

He doesn't mind handling and he sometimes chooses not to go back in his cage but rather climb my arm. He is held a few times a week.

I recently changed his cage around but this occured before then. I had a redwood and a large dracaena but now I have a small dracaena in there with fake leafs that get sprayed every hours for 20 seconds by the monsoon from exo terra.

He hasn't eaten in several days and before that he would maybe eat 1 or 2 superworms every other day. I offer him crickets, superworms, and dubia roaches.

He has a bumb inhis eye for a while can move around and is pink when I saw it when I moved it to the eye socket. He is going to a vet to fix that.

Today I haven't even seen him go to his warm spot.

Here is a picture of him from a week or two ago. I just took the picture of his new setup. I changed it as I had to do some cleaning.

BTW I live in Kentucky and its rather dry this time of year. Misting does nothing to the humidity so I am considering putting Plexiglas on all the sides but the bottom vent and the top screen in order to have airflow.

The bump in the eye might be from retained shed, that a vet would remove, or from Vit A deficiency that could explain the change in behavior. What is your current vitamin supplement schedule?
Maybe someone with more experience with panthers can chime in.
Where in Ky are you? (I am in Louisville)

I actually don't use vitamins. He has been fine as long as I have had him until a few weeks ago. I got him back in early November. I feed the bugs carrots.

These guys are very good at hiding any illness they may be suffering from. He needs to have his vitamins and calcium with d3 twice a month. Also, regular calcium should be used at every feeding. What are you using to gut-load the feeders?

I gut-load with carrots. I have tried dubia roaches crickets, superworms, waxworms, butterworms, and he doesn't really eat much of any of them. When he eats it is maybe 1 superworm every other day.

So I am not sure what is up. H ate a 3 crickets a few days ago and 1 super worm not too long ago. I just don't understand why he won't eat like other chameleons.

I have tried dusting food with vitamins and I put calcium power on them. He got a vitamin A shot from the vet when he went. However I can't remember the last time he ate something.

If the vet is giving you the impression that he does not need vitamins, then you need a new vet. Please reference the above mentioned care sheets.
