I like what you have thus far. Agree that more branches and vines are need for sure. You should try hanging your pant that's on the bottom. This would help fill in that empty space near the top. You could simply take a plant pot, turn it upside down, and set the plant you have on top of it. Just a couple questions....What type of UVB are you getting? Do you have a dripper? I have a jackson as well. I would get one that's atleast 5 months old since it's your first chameleon. Jackson typically aren't the best beginner chameleon. They are one of the less forgiving of chameleons. They have been known to drop dead in the beginning months for no reason. That being said, as long as you do your homework and do not rush the process, you should be fine :)

I am attaching a care sheet for jacksons. It is super helpful!

You dont do this because it will grow in anyway. Any age jackson is fine. its not the chameleon its the keeper. no offense to julia shes just trying to help but if you cant find everything you need in the caresheet ask actionjackson or sticktongue for pointers. If you havent watched jdogs video on youtube about jacksons do so. Imo its the best explained way to care for them.

Looks like a good start.
More horizontal branches and filling it all that empty space.
You need basking branches about 8 to 10'' below the lamp and the UVB.

One thing though, I tried that bamboo stuff, and it was too slippery for my young chams.
I had to take them out and use tree branches from my back yard dogwood tree.

My room stays rather cool my cage temps run basking 80-81 degrees while the ambient stays around 70-78 with a nighttime drop to around mid to low 60s. The pot idea sounds good but I might just let it grow out and prune as needed. I plan on getting the Arcadia 6% t5 from Light your reptiles as I've heard good things about them. Also if you look closely at the top of the cage I have a mistking setup. Thanks for the tip on those bamboo might just take them out and buy some x large vines I think it might look nicer anyway.

It will grow but slowly, with T5 lighting it will take 6 months to grow up. You could hang it or just get another ficus or schefflera comes to within 5 inches of the top. Yes I would replace the bamboo with vines or branches that have some grip. Good luck!
