Many years ago I had kept a number of Chams, mainly Veilds, but recently I picked up a Panther with the intent of a few more.
One of the reasons of getting back into them was to do so with my son, who is 9 years old, responsible for his age, and this is something we can do together.
I travel throughout the week, and part of his (paid) responsibility is feeding the Chams as well as feeding and maintaining the feeder colonies.
I will tell you something that is crazy fun, we are having nearly as much fun keeping and raising the food!!!
Right now we are keeping and breeding crickets, Dubias, Silkworms, and hornworms. We are also about to order a couple more species of roaches as well as mantids.
I am fortunate that I have an area to place and raise all of this (out of the house, but enclosed) as my wife is very wary of the Roaches!
Anyhow, not only does the Cham have a wide variety, we are having a great time with the insects!!
Just thought I would share. Anyone else enjoy the bug breeding??
