I thought this pic might make you smile - Leonard, our veiled chameleon, puffed up, made himself flat as a pancake, and displayed his brightest "swearing like a pirate" colors when he saw my red Christmas sweater. You should have heard him hiss!
It was so funny, I just had to take a picture.
For the record: before feeding him I put on a pale blue sweatshirt, and he was my best friend, again. He's actually super tame.
For those who have been following Leo's story, he is doing really great - he doesn't need to be syringe-fed liquids anymore because he licks the mist off of the leaves, and he sometimes hunts a few bugs now, too. Because his tongue doesn't shoot out very far, I still hand-feed him 5-7 mealworms every day... but 6 months of good calcium supplements, UVB light, and having the abscess removed have done wonders for him.

Glad to hear he is doing well, but I think that is still a few too many mealworms. If he likes worms maybe the low fat option of silkworms would be good?
