My Veiled is Grayish?

I have a veiled chameleon and i was wondering if there are different types of breeds? some are vibrant green but mine is whitish with the green under. its almost like hes about to shed but he's been that way for a while. Is he supposed to be that way?

The cham below is not mine, but he looks quite similar. Mine also had a reddish shade to his casque. I will try to upload pics of mine when I can.

op, how old is he, they dont get their full coloration in until 9 mo to a year if hes older then hes just relaxing, his display colors will come when he is threatened.

Their genetics vary just as widly as ours do.
