has he seen a vet?
He has seen 2 different vets, beginning last August. First one put needles in his casque trying to draw fluid out. Nothing happened, injected antibiotics. After talking to a herp expert, vet decided it was fat stores. NOT. Second vet, said it was a respiratory situation. NOT. I have given up on vets and tried to amp up his calcium and outdoors time. Replaced UVB bulb also. He does not move around a lot in his cage, true. I thought he was just spoiled, but I have to hold his feed bowl up to him to eat. This has been going on a long time. He also acts a little wobbly when walking on my hand. He has always been tame and I have had him 2 years in October. He was rehomed to me. I have always been able to pet him and the vets liked his disposition a year ago. Thanks for any help.

Was his diet made up primarily of super worms?
Do you know how old he is? He might be just declining from old age.

I'm 114% certain that he does not enjoy having his eyes rubbed. If he is still and allowing you, it is likely from stress. Their eyes are not meant to be rubbed and you are likely introducing all sorts of bacteria and making his condition worse.
Please stop. Please research these animals. If the care sheet does not say "give frequent eye massages" then don't do it.

The eyes are supposed to look all big and full like blueberries, sure. But what the pics show here are swollen eyes with small swollen flaps on the eyes that should not be there.

Look at that link, under "Swollen Eyes" .... Those little swollen pieces on the eyes should not look like that. There is a problem here that needs addressed.
The parts I circled in green.... those parts are swollen and should not look like that.
@comer1425 - the vets you took him to..... Have they ever worked specifically with chameleons before, or no? The chameleon clearly needs a vet, and a good vet. Don't give up just because the vets you took him to didn't know what they were doing. This is definitely not something I would just brush under the rug and try to fix yourself. And I would DEFINITELY not be rubbing the eyes. The chameleon is sick and that's why it just sits there and lets you do it instead of running away.

There is no way to solve mbd without the help of liquid calcium. Which only a vet can prescribe the correct dosages. His casque is worrisome. And his eyes look like they are starting to build an infection. Find a good vet who has chameleon experience neare you. If you ask some of our more experienced members they may be able to point you at one.
