Need a New Technique

I think I need a new technique for feeding. I am cup feeding for both. I use a milk jug with screen on the back. I put a dubia in his container and he wouldn't eat it. 2 days later I get another dubia out and put it on a branch near him and within 10 seconds he went for it. I don't think he likes my milk jug. I can't let everything free roam because its not bug prove. Is there any suggestions on how to make this better?

if you r doing free roam, from what i read the other peeps on here letting their chams free roam are mainly hand feeding their chams.

I got some bee pollen for the waxies too. Do I have to crush up the beads or anything or can I leave them the way they are? I read on a different thread that all people use is bee pollen and that is it. Right now they are in about three inches of the bee pollen beads. Should I ass honey or anything to it. Will they do fine on just the pollen alone? Any other tips on the feedr cup?

i only free roam caterpillars. i use tuperware at the bottom of his cage. it takes a while for them to find it, they just need to get use to it being down there. i usually go with 5-7 crickets with 2 suppers or 3 phoenix worms.

I do both cup feeding (a deli cup tied to a branch or a tupperware at the bottom of the cage), and free-ranging the food in the cage. I'd have to say that my panther much prefers the hunt (he's faster at eating all his crix & worms & such). With my little ones, I'm only doing cup/tupperware feeding at the moment.
You can always try feeding yours one dubia at a time, and watching him eat it to make sure you don't have any escapees. I can't think of much else. He may just be nervous around the milk jug. Have you tried other feeding containers?
Good Luck!

My guy will eat anything out of his feeder cup EXCEPT blaptica's I must either hand feed or place in his cage where he can see it and he will chase it.

My female will only eat stuff I put on the screen outside of the container. The male seems to do some things like superworms in the container, but other then that I have to put them on a branch and watch until he eats to make sure it doesn't escape. He is also really scared when I open the cage door. Is there a way to get him to calm down a little and not be so timid? He will be on a branch facing me and then I come up next to the cage and he will go 180 degrees around the branch to hide from me. This makes it a little more difficult when I try to hand feed him. Is there anything that I could do to make him not so scared?
