Need D3 if getting sunlight?

My veiled goes outside for 2-3 hours a week to get some natural sunshine- I'm just wondering if I still need to supplement D3. Anyone have suggestions?

Sure doesn't. I never give my cham Calcium with D3 during the months he spends a few hours per week outside. Mother nature will take care of it for you. Just make sure there's enough calcium in the diet to put the D3 your cham's body will synthesize to good use.

I give my chams a lot of sunlight throughout the week but I still do some very light dusting non the less, better more than they need than less right?

With D3…. Absolutely not. D3 is not water soluble so it stays and builds up in their system. Just a few hours of natural sunlight per week with cause your chams body to synthesize the adequate amount of D3 it's body needs, in a much safer dose that dusting can provide. It's body will make only what it needs. With D3 supplementation, you risk giving more than the body needs, or can use at any given time which can result in poisoning and death. So, in the case of D3 supplementation, air on the side of caution… less is more.

There is also a huge range of d3 supplements. One can easily have 50 times more d3 than another. I believe sticky tongue has the lowest and Rep-Cal Calcium with Vit D3 has the highest
