Need Help With Aquazamp Timer

I just decided to fly up to Canada for a couple of days leaving my chameleons with my husband who also works long hours. I leave Saturday, so much of my time away will be on the weekend, but I am not counting on him to be sure things are working.

I'll set out containers containing grasshoppers so my husband can just dump them in Sunday. They might go hungry Monday.

I believe I have set the timer up correctly. I have a couple of days to be sure it works right.

What happens in a short power outage? Does it keep it's settings? It's attached to a power bar with surge protection, so that part "should" be okay. We are expecting storms this weekend and the power inevitably goes out for a short period of time, usually only seconds.

I don't have that brand, but all my cages are set up on power strip timers with a battery backup. Just in case. I bought them at Home depot for like $16 each. Just in case this helps.

Go to aquazamp.com. On the left hand side, under information, it has the instruction manual for the digital timer. I don't know about aquazamp but my timer from mistking has battery backup. I'm sure that one does too but to test it, just unplug it and see if it stays on.

I have a raindome by aquazamp and the timer does have a battery backup. I agree with ericj unplug it and see if it keeps time just to be sure.

I had my timer unplugged in my outdoor shed for almost a year. The clock was correct and all my old settings were still there.

Thanks everyone. I'm really worried about leaving them even for a few days. They are fairly newly imported wild caughts that have had more than their share of problems.
