So I just ordered Mist King starter kit and was wondering what size bit should I use to drill hole in the reservoir bucket.. because looking online I found directions requiring both a holw with a 9/16 drill bit and another says use a 3/4 drill bit.

Also,

While adjusting/installing mist king, what would be the place to put chameleon until I have finished as I do not have another cage.
Thanks

I used the 9/16, and it worked well. I tried using a step bit, and that didn't work out so good. LOL Glad I had a spare brand new bucket.
Do you have a chameleon safe houseplant you can set him on? Somewhere where he can't sneak off, while you're busy working? It shouldn't take too long to install the misthead, and you can work on the other stuff while he's still in his cage.

I didn't trust the gasket they gave me so I got a lid and ran a hose from the lid to the bottom of the bucket. The water gets pulled up and out instead of just out. I can show you pictures if you're interested.

I also didn't drill a hole in the reservoir. I just run the tubing into the top of the bucket. Works fine, so worrying about a leaky nozzle.

Clean water on left, pump in middle, drain bucket on right.

just putting this out there. I used a 1 gal water jug I got from the store. At the bottom I took a knife and worked a hole in the bottom till the fitting was tight. I did use the O-ring on the inside I think. but anyways, it works. I took a knife I cut the top off for access to work my hands in.

good luck with your res set-up
