Ok someone gave me two Cham a few days ago. Ive done some research and have found out that they are veiled chameleons. Is this correct? Is this one pictured male? How old is this guy? Is this just a regular veiled? Thanks guys

some guy I ran into had a 10gallon tank with about 7 of them in it. He said he caught them down south in florida. He gave me a male and a female.

They are wild caught. You are going to want to get a fecal done on them. A vet visit would be a good start with them. Parasites could be an issue.

Make sure the Vet is familiar with Chameleons

ok so is there a way to tell if they are wild or not? I mean the guy told me they were found in south florida, but I was under the impression they were not found in florida. Is this true? And I wanted to give breeding a try later on down the road...is this a bad idea now?

Ive read the site posted above, lots of good info there.

thanks guys

chameleons are in no way native to anywere in the U.S.

that species is native to yemen. if he "found them" then that means he didn't breed them more then likely, also if they are siblings breeding would be a very bad idea.
