Hi Khai here. As some of you know, ive been asking questions on how much a female jacksons should be eating, both here and through pm. All very helpful! At this point its been 2 /3 weeks since shes really gone off feeding. She ate a couple butterworms maybe week ago and that was it. Since this past week, xanthoman has been giving me suggestions on what I should do or even how to fix this. Her being preggers is soo stresful:mad::(

here is my how to ask for help form.

Your cham: The species is regarding T.j xanths. Mostly my female. Been in my care since march this year. I purchased them much as a pair just at this size, just skinnier.I would say they are atleast 1 year old. Sexually active.

2; i only hold my chams for closer inspection and to go outside for natural sunlight. so at least 1 to 2 a week. Im not a on "taming" and all that. observation is much more fun.

3;from the get go, theyve been getting roaches, silks crickets. they have had butters, wax and hornworms randomly. Starting mantis once they hatch out.
At first the crickets and roaches were being fed this mazuri tort diet and veggies like dark leafy greens, collared and squashes. thats really all i used until just the last 1 month. Ive been using Cricket crack thats made for more of montane species and the same greens.
My male i feed every other day about, he gets either a few crickets or a couple roaches or some type of worm.
my female gets fed lesser days through out the week, but at the same time i was pretty much feeding her (what i thought to be just enough) well because of the whole breeding deal.

4; after the past 3 to 4 months. i barely dust at all. I use repcal products and i use the witout d3 and phos. 2 to 3 x a week. Calcium with d3 and multi vit, i barely use. ive pinched each of those containers only a few times since ive purchased them. I also sun them as often as i can, so i try not to use those much at all if my bugs are well fed.
initially when i got them, i dusted their bugs more often with plain calicum(3 to 5 /week) and vit once a week

5;When i first got them, they were being sprayed for most of the day until i went to work and then i had a dripper going. That wasnt cutting I thought and so for the past month their mistking has been in play. I spray them by hand if i need to, esp early morning or when i get home super late. They both have slow drippers.
My mistking schedule is daily, from 7am/4min 8am/4min 10am/3min 12pm/4min 2pm/4min 4pm/4min 5 and 7 same thing. I find myself still hand misting in between ea of these times still. its habit when it looks like they are thirsty. I live in dry california.

6;my male has a normal looking poop. brown in its sack and the white with maybe a very tad bit of orange on it. sometimes yes sometimes no.my female was having more of a orangy urate but once i cut out the mazuri tort diet from the bugs diet, its gone back to "normal" But very small. Her last two were small fecal and small urates.
Yes both have had fecal test. She USED to poop on schedule, almost right once she got sprayed well and washed her eyes.
As of this morning, two more yellowish goop things came out as she was trying to poop. yesertdays were the same.

Theyved been seperated for some time now and have visual barriers so they cant really see each other. They were once together, and she was the aggressive eater. aways going for food first. having them apart lets me manage what she eats better and my male is back to eating like a champ.
They bred multiple times in the last few months.

1;each are in their own reptibreeze 18x18x36.

2; I use house hold heat bulbs. floods, incan. spots. whatever works at the time. I use reptisun 5.0 . Both are on timers from 6 am to 5pm. By 3 to 4 they are pacing around to find their sleeping spot already.marked hot days in cali, i turn off heat lamps by noon.

3;They have the recommended temps for jacksons. cooler. The cage is in the 70's and low 80's up near the basking lamp. My surface temp gunned on the stick directly under the light is 93, but ambient there might be 85. Both cages are setup almost exactly the same. comfortable with that because both get up much closer to the light on their own. Night time temps vary deeply. California weather has been so messed up. Hot days with cold nights. I sleep with the window open so night time drops to 65 70. Sometimes colder, sometimes the clouds stay over the city trapping in the heat and its 78 82 at 10pm. I use both digital and cheapy gauges. Whatever reads the same

4; my humdiity will vary. Itll be really humid then drop, and go up again in an hour once the mister goes on again. So ups and down. 50 to 75. 80plus if the weather outside is working in my favor. rarely ever!

5; i only use pothos, replanted. and fake plants in the mix too.

6; both cages are placed midway in the room, where some air gets to them, but not really cold drafts or hot drafts if they were to be right in front of the window. Im 5'6 and the cages sitting on the tables are about 8 inches to a foot taller then me. The females cage esp.

my current problem is that my female stopped eating or has slowed down. She has no feeding responce, ive tried 8 different items. she still will drink a ton.

Maybe I missed it but how offer are you trying to feed her?
How much is she eating right now, if anything at all?

Wow she finally ate something. I put my catch net to use and caught some flies in a field. I cant believe shes been really just on strike. RAWWWRRRRR !!!! im sooooo relieved. Xantho man was right, house flies got my cham to eat. NOt silkies, crickets, roaches, horned.
