hey guys i posted a concern in the health clinic last night and a few of yall voiced your opinions on my setup. i changed it today and took the advice i was given. i put a live shefilera (sp) in and re-arranged the branches and vine so that it sucked up more of the top of the cage. hows this look.

thanks for all yalls help

you need to put the lights on the top not the sides because chams cant feel underneath there belly and they can get burnt really easily or over heat without even knowing it ... other than that looks good!

ya i knew about the lights i just ran out of time lastnight to go buy them. thats on my to do list today after work.

Is it safe to have the 5.0 bulb w/ the fixture over the top of the aluminum screen cages or should I hang it? Anyone ever had any problem with melting or burning?

The fluorescent tube doesn't really generate much heat and is totally safe to lay across the top of the enclosure.
Stay away from the compact fluorescent (screw in) bulbs though.

Looks good. I would suggest (and you mave already did this) is to provide ample branches near the basking lamp. This will let heat themselves a different degrees of heat. I guess I just threw that one out there since it was not fully done to see that area. Again though it looks great.
