New Calumma malthe Imports

Last night I got a call from the importer to let me know the Madagascar shipment had come in and that there might not be another one. As if I needed any more.... They are really cute little chameleons, reminding me of Cinderella's cartoon mice. When I went through the shipment, the females had teal blue occipital lobes. They haven't shown me those colors since I got them home--I think they were just teasing me.

I have them in the same room as my long-term captive C. malthe, Mickey Mouse, and I think he knows they are here.

This is a really, really cute little species. @jpowell86 I'm glad you pushed me to get them.

The blue colors are the females display colors! With this species it is not just the males who fire up and display great coloration.

They are cute, aren't they! I bought one last April and I just adore him. There is a question that Madagascar may be shut down over some illegal lumber trade, so I decided to take the plunge when this shipment came in. It would be nice to get them established in captivity.
